The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), an apex child-rights body, has taken suo motu cognisance of the sexual assault case allegedly involving Murugha Mutt seer Shivamurthy Swami and issued a notice to the Chitradurga superintendent of police to conduct an inquiry and submit a report in a week.
