Join us as a Desk Strategy Associate
- You’ll join our Economics and Markets team to track and express opinions on the global economy and financial markets through financial trades and research reports consumed by investors globally
- Working with our rates team, you’ll lead the rates research effort from India and work closely with our global strategists
- This is a high profile role that offers a strong cross asset, cross geography exposure as well as the opportunity to make a significant impact
What you'll do
As a Desk Strategy Associate, you’ll collaborate with our UK rates team, and track and analyse fixed income markets. You’ll build financial models and frameworks, and set up a suite of analytics, including fair value modelling, relative valuation, and flow and positioning that helps in analysing the markets.
Your role will also involve:
- Formulating trade ideas or investment opportunities
- Tracking and commenting on macroeconomic data releases, financial model results, financial market data and political developments globally
- Writing and publishing analytical and thematic research reports
- Collaborating with team members globally, including the sales and trading team on various adhoc requests and projects on fixed income research
- Managing the workflow as well as the learning and development needs of the team
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with experience in a people management role and at least seven years’ experience in financial markets’ research with a strong focus on fixed income markets. You’ll come with experience in both Finance and the Technology domain.
With a good academic background, and a B.tech degree or an MBA in Finance, you’ll also hold a CFA or an FRM certification, or should be willing to work towards one. It would be ideal if you have exposure to the UK fixed income markets, as would be experience in analytics.
You’ll also need:
- Knowledge of economic and financial markets’ databases such as Bloomberg and Haver
- Strong Microsoft Office Excel programming skills
- A technical and analytical mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of coordinating and working with global stakeholders
