Under minimal supervision, designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs complex software programs for enhancements and new products. Responsible for complex concept design through the full development life cycle. Prepares and conducts systems programming test requiring interfacing and software tests. Coaches others in less senior positions.
Job Specific Information:
The FedEx Global Sales Operations (GSO) team supports the global sales force with core sales operations systems and processes and directly supports the FedEx Services Sales team with planning and execution. GSO defines customers and matches them to Sales professionals, creates compensation strategies and executes compensation processes, and builds tools and resources to make the FedEx Sales team more effective.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Two (2) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Global Compensation System team is responsible for enabling in-time and accurate incentive payout for all FedEx Sales, globally. The team works with regional compensation partners to capture compensation plan enhancement requests, gain clarity on the requirements, and implement solutions with a focus on quality.
- Design and development of new automated workflows based on user specified requirements to support accurate adjustments and quarterly payouts
- Ongoing maintenance and support of existing workflows
- Continuous evaluation of region specific workflows from the perspective of improving sales user experience with feature enhancements
- Strong technical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Understanding of the FedEx Global Sales compensation ecosystem, business rules and strong communication skills are essential to successfully collaborate with regional Sales Planning teams and deliver accurate incentive payouts.
Abilities/Knowledge/Skills Considered a Plus:
- Proficient in Object oriented programming ( Java or .Net)
- Experience with SQL, HTML and CSS
- Aptitude for business understanding and systems thinking
- Attention to detail and quality focused approach to deliverables
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
- Experience in Sales Operations function/s
- Experience programming in Groovy & with SAP Callidus
Domicile: This position will be domiciled in Collierville, TN or other domiciles can be considered.
Remote Work: The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
