The Sr. Product Manager is the key advocate for the customer within Amazon -- building a world-class experience for sellers to become part of this program within Amazon by creating tools, which automate processes, eliminates waste, provides great seller experience. The successful candidate will have experience working with partner teams in areas such as strategic planning and cohesive annual plans; experience working with technical teams to build innovative, new technology; and excellent verbal and written communication skills. He or she must also have the analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get stuff done and deliver results no matter the obstacles. Keys to success also include a strong interest in the eCommerce industry, the desire to create a unique and compelling customer experience, and a passion for retail.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Masters degree
• 6+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience defining market and product requirements, working with engineering organizations to rapidly deliver innovative and high-impact capabilities to market
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning/messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely
• Some travel may be required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer (seller, vendor, end customer) needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features
• High attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Communications and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust up, down, and across the company
• Retail experience preferred
• MBA preferred
