Leading development and execution of product/portfolio strategies and plans, taking into account product life cycle stage and the customer experience. Responsible for managing, developing and implementing marketing, sales and other activities, as needed, to achieve the necessary business outcomes. Evaluating market, economic and competitive factors affecting product performance and demonstrates ability to perform fact based data analysis and interpretation to identify critical business insights. Ability to work with advanced data models and analytics. Prioritizing new features, orchestrates and executes product development. Execute new product development initiatives as marketing or overall development lead across multi-functional team. Coaches others in less senior positions.
Additional Job Duties:
- Solution, technology, and team facing (embedded in program).
- Responsible for working with the Product Managers to break down work and refine into features for the backlog.
- Owns team backlog and implementation.
- Continuously refines work/features, prioritizing and sequencing them on the program roadmap.
- Works across customers, Architects, and other stakeholders to convert solutions into realizable business value.
- Define feature acceptance criteria and the definition of completion/release to customer.
- Experience delivering products through the entire SDLC in an agile environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Considered a plus:
- Has experience working with technical products including data pipelines and application development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Has experience establishing technical standards
- Fluency in object-oriented programming languages
- Experience managing open-source software or data products
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalency in Product Marketing, Economics, Business, or related field. Three (3) years’ work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent. Knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis. Strong communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring & solving skills. Strong executive presence and human relations skills. Strong project management experience. A directly related Master’s Degree is equivalent to two (2) years experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
