Who We Are
Twitter’s newly minted Global Participation initiative in Bangalore focuses on driving the next step change of user engagement and growth across our emerging markets like India, Africa, Latam, and Southeast Asia. We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial, mission driven, founding PM to help us establish and execute on our product strategy for these markets starting with India, our first key emerging market.
What You’ll Do
You will be the definitive voice of users in your region of focus. Armed with deep regional consumer insights you will shape global product strategy and drive product market fit and growth through a combination of rigorous experimentation, customisations, and bold new bets. You’ll collaborate with a diverse and talented cross-functional team of researchers, data scientists, designers, engineers, marketers and others to make this happen.
Who You Are
You identify with Twitter’s higher cause and mission. You have repeatedly proven success in achieving product-market fit with consumer products in India and/or other emerging markets at scale, either through a new venture or within a larger company. You’ll be experienced at partnering with researchers to gain local insights and translating these insights into products that people love. You put users first, and are adept at using data, insights, and judgement as the ingredients in your decision. PM execution rigor is a given for you.
If this sounds like it might be you, you probably have:
An ability to develop a deep understanding and empathy for customers whose daily life, circumstances and needs might be very different than your own.
A strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal skills which allow you to excel at being an advocate for your team and the customers that you’re serving.
Demonstrated success working in a resource-constrained, highly-ambiguous environment, such as at a startup or new venture.
A willingness to travel to spend time with your customers and our product teams around the world.
Prior evidence or a strong sense for effective remote and cross-time zone collaboration with key partners.
