About the team
Kinaxis is seeking a seasoned Director HR Business Partner to support our global Sales, Professional Services, and Marketing teams. Primarily focused on developing people strategies and providing leadership that help achieve the business and people objectives for our largest team, your forward facing approach and ability to identify talent issues before they impact the business positions you as a trusted advisor to our most senior leaders within the business unit.
We are looking for a dynamic HR leader that is comfortable with both ambiguity and a fast paced environment. You will understand the business and the culture, and provide strategic talent consult to business leaders and the teams you supports to enhance their growth and their impact. While this role is an individual contributor, in terms of scope and experience it is in line with Director level.
What you will do
- Identify opportunities to proactively address talent and leadership gaps, providing solutions that will bridge gaps before they become issues. Your goal will be to build a strong leadership mentality at all levels within the business units you support
- Develop and leverage talent management strategies (workforce planning, forecasting, succession, HiPo and leader development) in collaboration with our Sales, Professional Services, and Marketing leadership team
- Articulate and translate the main drivers from Sales, PS and Marketing to the Total Rewards team, ensuring design of appropriate incentive programs aligned to business goals
- Participate in the design of formal compensation, bonus and incentive plans, ensuring a strong understanding of the plans, to ensure successful implementation within your client group
- Provide executive coaching and advice to help business leaders understand and address the people implications of business strategies and decisions.
- Understand the business and technical perspective of the teams you support, including current investments, focus, and challenges in order to continually link business and people strategies
- Support scalable growth for our Go to Market teams, identifying talent requirements, gaps, and team structural models aimed at driving organizational effectiveness
- Be a champion for delivering Kinaxis’s human capital strategy and employment value proposition, partnering across Kinaxis HR to support rollout of global talent initiatives.
- Create regular knowledge sharing with COEs to ensure business requirements are clear, engaging appropriate HR services for our Go To Market teams from HR COEs and Shared Services
- Act as cultural advocate and ensure leaders are fully aligned to and live Kinaxis’s core values
- Interpret HR data to provide insights to the business, and makes recommendations on best ROI of talent plans
- Always take a global approach, provide guidance to the business on how to get most value from corporate HR programs to meet business goals as it relates to people.
What we are looking for
- Progressive Senior Leadership in HR, with a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Partner supporting global teams in high growth technology companies
- Must have experience supporting a global revenue driving organization for both Sales and Professional Services , ideally in a SaaS based product company
- Significant experience with variable compensation and sales commission plans, and the ability to articulate the business drivers for them, is a must
- Outstanding people leadership skills –recognized as a talent developer and exceptional leader
- Experience helping organizations scale and grow, bringing an OD perspective to analyze and provide solutions for people issues impacting business strategy and performance
- Proven experience in leading and managing transformational organization change
- Demonstrates an integrated global perspective to understanding and addressing people and business issues
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the ability to prioritize business requirements appropriately through a collaborative partnership approach
- Ability to anticipate the people implications of strategic and operating business decisions and plan for the future
- Highly analytical, with the ability to leverage metrics to help define and execute on talent management strategies that align with the goals of the business.
- Excellent consulting, communication and coaching skills, coupled with the ability to influence senior stakeholders in delivering HR programs and initiatives to meet strategic objectives.
- Highly collaborative, with the ability to align and work in partnership with the teams you support, recruitment and our core Human Resources team.
